Cala en Porter

Our villas are situated in a cliff-top tourist resort, Cala’n Porter, on the south coast of the island and only a 10 minute drive from the airport. The town has everything within walking distance, with a variety of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and souvenir shops. The wonderful beach with crystal clear waters can be accessed via road or steps and offers two beach bars serving local tapas and beverages. 

The beach

Rated as one of, if not the best resort beaches on Menorca, especially for smaller children due it’s perfect sands, incredibly gently sloping shallows, falling into crystal clear turquoise waters.

Beach volleyball

Since local club CV Ciutadella was promoted to Superliga in 2006, the volleyball (including beach volleyball) became very popular on the island. The beach in Cala en Porter has volleyball court and is perfect place to practice this amazing sport.

Watersports

Kayaks and SUP boards can be rented by the beach and the bay is perfect place for watersports.

Snorkeling

Diving into the water with goggles and a snorkel will open up a world to explore that will surprise you. You can enjoy snorkeling in Cala en Porter, or in Cales Coves, 20 min. walk from Villa Isabel.

Hiking

There are many opportunities for hiking around Cala en Porter, including the famous Cami de Cavalls.

Yoga

Whether you’re a beginner or advanced yogi, the incredible natural beauty of Menorca provides the perfect backdrop for practicing yoga and meditation.

Night life

Menorca definitely is not a place of vivid night life but luckily there are places in Cala en Porter, where you can have a drink, sing karaoke (bar Aloha) or after enjoying the beautiful sunset you can spend the whole night dancing in the most famous club on the island: Cova d’en Xoroi.

From local cured sausages to more unusual soups and desserts, there are many traditional dishes you need to try when you’re visiting this Balearic isle.

The megalithic monuments

The island’s standing-stones are windows that look back to the culture of Menorca’s oldest knows inhabitants. Archeological remains scattered across the island that provide an excellent into Menorcan pre-history.

The water parks

If you are bored with all these amazing beaches or you or your children love water slides, you should try of one the water parks: Aquarock Waterpark in Cala’n Bosch, Splash Sur Menorca in Biniancolla, Los Delfines Aqua Center or Carema Splash Park. 

The zoological park

That’s really surprising that such a small island has it’s own zoo! You can find there a wide range of native species from the island and exotic animals from all over the world.
